This time the start was at the stadium on Nattenberg. On this round, the long ascent in Pöppelsheim is the sporting challenge.

Nice tour on the P11 near Nieste, chosen by friends.
Actually, a little abbreviation was planned. But since we had "chattered" so well, it became an extension. The weather offered everything between sun and hail, but couldn't drive us away 😀. We then warmed up in the Königsalm.

A wonderful route through the Sauerland valleys and its heights with wonderful views and insights. The organic bikers should have a good breakfast and the e-bikers should fully charge the batteries.

A wonderful trip to the Wörthersee. The noble city of Velden with its casino, the noble castle hotel, the wonderful harbor and after a few kilometers, unfortunately often along the road, you reach Maria Wörth with the famous pilgrimage church. The church itself and the view of the lake are worthwhile.
Alternatively, you can cross the lake with the passenger ship and cycle back on the other side.

A wonderful tour around the Ossiacher See. If you drive counter-clockwise around the lake, as I did, you will soon reach the municipal seaside resort, which is freely accessible, from which you have a wonderful first view of the lake. The collegiate church in Ossiach is worth seeing and has a nice cafe under the trees with a view of the lake. At the end of the lake you can either drive a short stretch of road or, as I did, bypass this short stretch a long way.The lake tour can be easily combined with a ride on the Kanzelbahn lift at an altitude of 1,492 meters. The trip (up and down) costs just under 27 euros per adult and the last descent is at 4.45 p.m.A ramp leads from the bike path to the railway, but ends in front of a staircase that you either carry your bikes up or leave below.
So if you really want to include the lift ride, you should perhaps take the tour in the other direction!

The part of the tour from Grado to Montfalcone runs on beautiful bike paths "FVG2" along the sea, through landscape protection areas, through agricultural areas and ends with a wonderful swim and rest on the beach in Monfalcone. From there it is mostly on the expressway which then becomes the Strada Costeria and, as the name suggests, runs directly above the cliffs. The lack of a cycle path is compensated for by beautiful views over the Bay of Trieste. Numerous cargo ships lying in the roadstead, countless smaller or larger sport boats that pull their white keel lines into the azure blue water form a wonderful panorama. The city of Trieste with its beautiful squares and palazzi is worth a visit of several days in itself. It is worth immersing yourself in the hustle and bustle, the light evening and night life of the city. If possible, plan two full days!

From Udine it goes in a somewhat uniform landscape from the mountains to the world heritage site Palmanova and the worth seeing basilica in Aquileia, with the unique mosaic and a nice stop opportunity.
Then comes the absolute highlight, cycling for kilometers through the Mediterranean to Grado. There you will find wonderful ports and beaches.
All in all, a great stage.
