The peace church of the pottery village Berndorf is the patronage church of the realm count of Giech, whose master castle is located one kilometer away, in Thurnau. 1764-66 it emerges as a "peace church" and peace offerings for sparing in the 7-year war. The coat of arms inscriptions in the west portal remind of it. Unique is this church by its oval floor plan and oval double galleries with glazed Herrenloge. The freestanding altar table, the pulpit of elegant black stucco marble and the organ are arranged one above the other.
