Hohenberg Castle stands on a rocky outcrop rising 125 meters above the Eger on the outskirts of the town center of the town of Hohenberg an der Eger in the Fichtelgebirge. The castle is a station on the Castle Road, which runs two kilometers further south from Bayreuth to Eger.
