The beautification club of Groß-Salze encouraged the construction of this Bismarck tower. The design including the farm building (used as a restaurant) comes from city councilor Thurius, the bricklaying performed Maurermeister Vollbring in 1897. The brick-built tower with a round ground plan reached a height of 10 m. About a spiral staircase, the viewing platform without fire bowl with attached turret was reached. In 1907, the tower was raised to 13.5 m. The Bismarckturm was redeveloped in the early 90's and provided with a new tower end with parapet. On the Bismarck tower you have a good view of the Magdeburger Börde. You can visit the tower as a visitor.Height 13.5 metersFurther information:
