Catholic Church of St. Heinrich

The Catholic parish of St. Heinrich has existed since 1853 and belongs to the Archdiocese of Berlin. In 1898, the Catholic church of St. Heinrich was ceremoniously consecrated in the neo-Romanesque style with a 42 m high tower.
The parish and the church were named after Emperor Henry II (973-1024), who was canonized in 1146 by Pope Eugene III (pope from 1145 to 1153).
In an air raid on April 10, 1945, the church was destroyed except for the ring walls. But by Christmas 1948, the church was fully usable again, although the 18 m high spire is still missing.
