About Henning

Would have liked to have driven a higher cut, but the route on the Mittelland Canal and the section in front of Obersteinbeck were definitely not the best for racing. It's good that the already badly battered silts from the bikepacking tour are on it.

Today again in pairs at home.
The district educational garden is not huge, but very beautiful and worth a visit.
Then it was all about Lake Bagno (beautiful local recreation area) and in Wettringen on the railway tracks on the way home, including a stopover at Lake Offlumer.

The night at the campsite was mixed, but clothes were quickly packed together, checked out and having breakfast at the next bakery.
Then the journey started very pleasantly. Many well-tarred forest paths that were declared a bicycle road, then for a while along the Spree on the cucumber cycle path. Very nice to drive in great weather. Unfortunately, before Königswusterhausen, there was an approx. 15 kilometer section on a busy main road without a bike path or hard shoulder. I am usually quite pain-free there, but the section was pure stress and I also put the pedal to the metal to end it quickly.
As soon as it was over I had my first and only breakdown, a flat tire on the front tire. Actually easy, just had to remove a lot of luggage to get the tools.

Actually, I only planned the stage as far as Cottbus, but somehow I didn't like it and drove up to the Spreewald. Seemed to be nicer to me than Cottbus.
Today there was also a trip abroad, a few kilometers in Poland.
It was also nice, but unfortunately there was no dinner for me in Burg anymore. So hungry into the tent.
The ride as such was easy. There were hardly any vertical meters and I had actually planned a longer break in Bad Muskau in order to explore the castle or the Fürst Pückler Park around it, but rain destroyed this planning. So only a short time in the park.
In Cottbus I wasted 45 minutes in a bus stop because of a bad weather. The rest was relaxed cycling to the campsite in the Spreewald.

Today went to Görlitz after setting up the tent.
I will add the tours to Dresden and Görlitz myself when Garmin works again.

Today was the shortest stage of my tour with just over 100 kilometers. It also went abroad (Czech Republic) for a few kilometers. It was easy to cycle all day and the slopes were all pretty easy to ride and were often rewarded with long descents.
The campsite with industrial culture charm was quite contaminated with mosquitos, but kindly also very alternative.
Originally I wanted to climb the Görlitz mountain, the Landeskrone, because you should have a great view from there. But then I looked at the height profile again and preferred to leave it. Would probably have had to step up in the cradle and that is really unfavorable with the luggage and pushing would be a personal defeat, so not an option.
