The Mudersbacher "Mariengrotte" owes its existence to a private vow: Mudersbacher Albert Mockenhaupt followed a wish of his mother Elisabeth in 1924 and had a grotto built with stones from the Storch and Schöneberg mines. At that time, the furnishings included figures of the Blessed Mother and Saint Bernadette in addition to a prayer chair. Since 1965, a new, almost three meter tall figure of the Virgin Mary by the Brachbacher sculptor Josef Christ has adorned the grotto. A new Bernadette figure followed in 2007 – donated by a Mudersbach citizen.

Even if religious topics are out of place here, I still dare.
I recommend worshiping Jesus directly and praying to him directly.
