Hiking

The use of water power at this location is obvious. However, there is no evidence of a waterworks or mill at this location. According to old drawings, it is likely that the stream that originally ran in the middle of the valley was moved to the side of the valley to give the "Beerberg" mine enough space for the dump in front of the deep tunnel. When the foundations were excavated, ore was found in the dump that is attributed to the "old" Beerberg.
