Despite a notice saying work would be taking place in Oct 22 to repair the bridge, it was still closed in Feb 23. Gaps have been made in the fence so it's possible to duck through, carefully go down the steep & slippery slope & up the equally steep & slippery slope opposite. Alternatively, a bit before where the path turns left up a few steps, see if you can continue straight ahead (don't know if possible, but might be) sonyou only have to climb up the slope.
