The house at Wilhelmstrasse 24, built in the late Baroque style in 1772, was sold in 1803 to Prince William V of Orange (residence in The Hague, NL) and was thus popularly known as the "Prince's House". Whenever the respective Oranian or later Nassau sovereign (Duchy of Nassau) came to Dillenburg, he took up quarters in this house. Today it serves as the administration building for the Hessian State Stud. The hall on the 2nd floor is used for civil weddings.
