The oldest part of the old office building was given its present appearance in 1989.
The oldest part of the old office building, Kirchberg 24, which received its current appearance in 1989 after four years of planning and construction, was built in 1499. The middle part of the residential building was added in 1528, while the south-eastern part was completed in 1595.

An entry in the fire register from 1775 describes this building as an "official building" and "manorial house". This is a clear indication that the servants of the Nassau-Dillenburg counts and later princes have always resided in this house.

The two houses on the street side are noteworthy, they show the two typical half-timbered constructions: post construction (left) and frame construction (right).
