Hiking
The best pilots…, is the name of the statue, with no less than five ominous dots indeed. We read it on the accompanying plaque. It was designed by J. van Velzen, a locally well-known and beloved artist from Wervershoof, commissioned by the municipal council, on the occasion of 700 years of city rights for Medemblik, in 1989. Paid for by the population, the business community and various cultural funds, it also says.
