Wonderful tour from the small village of Loriga the glacier valley (Garganta da Loriga) up to Torre, the highest mountain in Portugal. Start at the parking lot and initially it goes on a farm road that leads to a shepherd's hut. Approximately 200m before the turn not miss. It then continues on a trail. The trail is mostly rocky, but easy to handle. You sometimes have to search marks. Breathtaking is the landscape in front of the first edge: Covão da Areia, a huge cauldron created by glaciers framed by rugged cliffs. Once you've gotten over the edge, you'll see more highlights such as the Covão da Nave, a dam and the Lagao do Cavão, a lake. In good weather you can enjoy the spectacular view in all directions from the top of Torre. There is a restaurant and a shop selling souvenirs and local specialties.

Nice hike from Loch Ard to Ben Venue. Start from the parking lot at the B829 500m west of Kinlochard. Follow the road north to Ledard. After about 200m left through the gate and over a Hokzbrücke the Ledard Burn cross. The path then leads west of the river, first through a forest. Further up it goes over the high bog with swampy marshy spots in places until the path crosses the creek again. If you reach the pass between Beinn Bhreac and Creagh a 'Bhealaich you will see NO Ben Venue in sight. From there, the path runs slightly downhill for about 1km and crosses the path that leads down the Gleann Rhiabach to the south. The climb to Ben Venue is from there on some very steep and rocky passages. Descend the same way back to Ledard and finish in the nice café The Weeks Blether Tearoom in Kinlochard or via the Gleann Rhiabach NE towards Loch Achray (see route description here at komoot)
