The monument commemorates the Margrave's participation in the Turkish Wars and shows him on horseback in full armor. Below him lie a Turk and Invidia, the personification of envy. The famous equestrian statue of the Great Elector Friedrich Wilhelm of Brandenburg by Andreas Schlüter in front of Charlottenburg Palace served as the model.
