Flagpole of the Inland Waterway Association – erected in 1965 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of inland navigation on the Weser River. The flagpole is almost 23 meters high.

A plaque on its base reads:

To the 1000th anniversary of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, as a symbol of inland navigation, by the Upper Weser Waterway Association – Bremen.

This flagpole was donated on behalf of the Oberweser-Bremen Shipowners' Association for the 1000th anniversary of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. The mast was built in 1965 by Rolandwerft GmbH and is intended to be a landmark of inland shipping.
