Pretty little "mountain" in Hitzacker. From the vineyard you have a beautiful view of the town of Hitzacker, the Elbe and the Elbe Valley. There are three different paths that lead to the vineyard, two of them via stairs and a stepless sand path. At the top of the vineyard is a large plain on which there are various viewpoints and a couple of benches. The foundations of a medieval castle can also be seen here, the other remains of which were unfortunately removed in the 19th century.
For taking photos, the sunrise time is particularly worthwhile, as one then looks over the city, the Jeetzel, as well as the Elbe and the Elbe valley floodplain in the background from Hitzacker in the direction of sunrise. In the sunset direction, however, there is little unobstructed view (through trees and the hilly landscape that begins in Hitzacker and continues to the west).
