The 1000 meter stone is one of the highlights of the HINTERINDIEN.DE tour no. 100, there are only two mountains in Franconia that exceed this mark.

There is another 1005 meter stone, which is a very large rock with the 1005 mark carved into it. Not as noticeable as the 1000.

1,000m doesn't sound like a lot. But when the surrounding valleys are at about 340-350m, it becomes an impressive mountain.
