The Freienwalder Landgraben is a connection from Bad Freienwalde to the Alte Oder and to Oderberg on the Oder-Havel waterway. It was built to supply and transport agricultural products. The width of the water varies between 5.0 and 15.0 m.
The body of water is officially called Landgraben and is used to drain the Oderbruch, but it is actually a canal. This was created using the residual waters of the original Oder, which means that Bad Freienwalde can rightly say that it is on the Oder 🙂.translated by
