A wonderful market square that has its own special charm even on an October day and invites you to linger:
"The Cheb market square is called "Square of King George of Poděbrad" (Náměsti Krále Jiřího z Poděbrad). This king is hardly known to us. In fact, however, he was one of the intellectual fathers of European unification and of far greater importance to the city of Cheb/Eger than the famous Duke Albrecht von Wallenstein, who was murdered here in 1634. ..."

A small but very nice, cozy Christmas market. Typical local, special Czech delicacies are offered. You can also buy some arts and crafts here. Ice skating on the ice rink is also possible. A stage for one or two programs is also available. The Christmas market is open until December 24th.
