This memorial stone is located at the house at Charlottenstraße 49 in Berlin. It is reminiscent of the former location of the Lutter & Wegner wine bar, which is now on the corner of Charlottenstrasse and Taubenstrasse. The poet, painter, composer and judge E. T. A. Hoffmann and the actor Ludwig Devrient frequented this restaurant at the time, which is also mentioned here.
The original building was destroyed in World War II. A luxury hotel is housed in today's new building.
