The Sume fountain by Stefan Engel, created in 1991 at the Heumarkt, is dedicated to the children of the old town. In the past, children who grew up on the Neckar were called "Neggasume" and Sume (seeds) are the small, transparent fish that have to grow up before they become real fish.

The Heumarkt is located at the end of Untere Straße in the old town.

In the past, it was used to lead back up to the main street and thus to the middle gate, which formed the end of the narrow, medieval town until 1827. As the name suggests, the Heumarkt was used to sell hay, and sometimes you could also buy pigs there.
