It is the oldest house in the city: Hölle 11.
At first glance, the sturdy, Romanesque building with its thick sandstone walls is not recognizable as a half-timbered house.
The wooden construction is hidden.
As part of a renovation in 2004, the exposed beams in the ceilings were examined. The result was sensational! The beams are around 800 years old. The oak wood was dated to 1215 and the spruce wood to around 1230.translated by
