    Substation Christiania - Wedding (Gesundbrunnen),
Osloer Strasse (formerly Christianiastrasse) 16/17 at the corner of Prinzenallee 71.

As a former substation, it was built according to the plans of the architect Hans Heinrich Müller (1879-1951), chief architect of the Bewag 1924-1930. Here, the electricity from the power plants was transformed from a maximum of 110,000 volts to up to 6,000 volts for further distribution. Similar to the Context: Umspannwerk Scharnhorst Umspannwerk Scharnhorst, it served to supply end users (private households and businesses) with electricity. A six-storey neo-Gothic style brick building was erected on an irregular square. The number of window axes is nine on Osloer Strasse and five on Prinzenallee. The roof cornice is arched. The listed building is now used as the north network office of the Berliner Kraft und Licht Bewag AG.

The Christiania substation is a unique building. The corner tower consists of Gothic-style clustered pillars rising above the ground without a base, and narrow, extraordinarily tall window panels that cut into the projecting cornice with a pointed arch. The taut, steep structure, reminiscent of Gothic tracery windows, suggests concentrated energy. Transformers and busbars were arranged on six floors.
