Hiking
Originally, this chapel was built to commemorate the 10-year-old sister of the later mayor Jenne Broos, who died after a traumatic revenge action by German troops. See otheo.be/artikel/uitstap-hageland-ontdek-erfgoed-parochie-sint-donatus
But this chapel of the Bedrukte Moeder also has a past in other ways! It was on private property, the owner wanted to demolish it and so it was rebuilt with many volunteers, not far from the beautiful (protected) Sint-Donatus rectory. More on tieltwinge.openvld.be/heropbouw_kapel_van_de_bedrukte_moeder_gaat_nationaal and a photo of the consecration of the rebuilt chapel on nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20220322_94977830
