A high bi is an early type of bicycle with a very large front wheel and a very small rear wheel. With a high bi, the pedals are attached directly to the axle of the front wheel. To get reasonable resistance, the front wheel must be large. The rider's leg length is the limit. The high bi was initially also called vélocipede in Dutch.
