The Fangelsbachfriedhof, located in the middle of the city, contains some remarkable graves. For example, the industrialist and patron Gustav Siegle (1840-1905), the prelate and poet Karl Gerok (1786-1865), the sculptor Victor Cappeler (1831-1904), the architect Carl Beisbarth (1809-78), the bronze caster Wilhelm Pelargus (1783-1843), the industrialist Anton Kreidler 1863-1942, Eduard Paulus the Younger, archaeologist (1837-1907) as well as steel manufacturers, court actors, politicians, artists, bell founders with some impressive tombs.

The Fangelbach Cemetery is one of the most important, historical cemeteries in Stuttgart and was opened outside the city limits in 1823. Today it is located directly in the Stuttgart-Süd district between Karlshöhe and Weinsteige.
The most famous and also oldest graves in the Fangelsbach Cemetery are those of Carl von Schiller, the son of the famous poet Friedrich von Schiller, and the surgeon Georg Hambrecht.
