Walser Hammerspitze

We came from the Fiderepass hut and took the path up to the Hammerspitze at the Wannenalpe. Since we hadn't seen the arrow to the left, we ended up on the ridge path. That wasn't for me at all. The path ended pretty soon and you had to scramble along the outside of the slopes. So we turned around again and luckily found the arrow on the normal hiking trail towards Kuhgehrensattel. It was much easier and more pleasant to walk 👍🏼

Ascent and descent require a head for heights and surefootedness. It's worth the effort! The view is awesome.

Beautiful hike to the Hammerspitze: 1) with the Kanzelwandbahn lift up; 2) cross to the Kuhgehrensattel; 3) from there climb to the summit; 4) Descent direction Wannenalpe; 5) from here several possibilities to continue the descent, e.g. about inner cow-goat-algae or escape-alpe
