The mountain station Kanzelwand is the hub of many hikes in the Kleinwalsertal. We like to hike to Kuhgehrenspitze, then Kuhgehrenalpe, Fluchtalpe and back to Mittelberg. Next time we would like to hike over the Fiderepass.

Easy to climb mountain with a beautiful view of Hirschegg, Mittelberg and Baad. The easiest ascent: Take the Kanzelwandbahn cable car up and from the mountain station through the large hollow of the upper Zwerenalpe over to the Kuhgehrensattel and then right on the grassy ridge up to the Kuhgehrenspitze. (approx. 1 hour to the summit). Even from Mittelberg via the outer or inner Kuhgehrenalpe, climbing to the summit is not too strenuous. (approx. 2 hours to the summit). The tour can be easily combined with a climb to the Hammerspitze (2,170m).
