Fiderepasshütte

Accessible from both Oberstdorf and Kleinwalsertal, the Fiderepasshütte is located at 2,070 meters on the Austrian-German border. The DAV hut is managed and offers accommodation with up to 160 beds. Good physical condition, sturdy shoes and basic alpine experience are required for the ascent.

very nice hiking area. And of course the good infrastructure. Therefore very well attended even on weekends. Tip: Make a reservation at the huts.

Anyone who is up here has, depending on the beginning of the ascent, a strenuous path behind them. But the view up here is worth the effort.

A great place to stop for day tours, the food there is great and the staff friendly and helpful. 👍🏻 Also very suitable as overnight accommodation for the Mindelheim via ferrata. 👍🏻

The weather is always exciting at the hut. Good photos are almost guaranteed. Eating always delicious. The hut is always worth a visit :-)

Food very good. For overnight guests: great drying room, but only cold water, no showers (only now ??). Lots of people there. No drinking water; you have to buy.

A nice restaurant that you would not expect in this exposed location. After the climb to the pass, a stop was a must!

Very popular and great located DAV hut. Relatively easy to get to using the cable car. So it's very crowded. We were there on a long weekend (Corpus Christi) and it was very busy, including many day visitors. Food and drink typical for a DAV hut.

Great for pausing, whether up or down. Nice staff and good gastro. Spontaneous overnight stays are actually always possible.
