The mountain path over the Knoppen runs through a light mountain forest with gnarled oaks.
There are only beautiful views of the Ahr valley from one point and the summit cross no longer exists either - but the narrow mountain path is still an experience.
Another advantage is that the path is not as heavily frequented as the paths around the Teufelsloch ...
