It is a Gothic building erected around the 14th century, probably on the site of a pagan temple. It was built on a rectangular plan. Wendish brick with Gothic fragments was used for construction. The building was destroyed by fires several times. In 1858 the church was rebuilt. Until 1945, it was a Protestant temple, serving as a cemetery chapel
