Dreiklang (ARS NATURA) Wind Chimes by Reinhold Gabriel

The ARS NATURA work of art “Dreiklang” is located on the new ARS NATURA butterfly trail. A place to pause and listen, because the wind creates beautiful sounds here. I love it 😊!

The work of art is by Reinhold Gabriel from Malsfeld: "The work of art is about two meters high and consists of three tubes of different lengths, with the air columns being excited via elongated sound holes in the upper area of the tubes. Due to their different lengths, the tubes are tuned to the basic tones E, G sharp and B and together create an E major chord. The sounds are created with the help of the wind. Different wind strengths create melodies through overtones. My wish is that the hopefully numerous visitors stop and listen, perceive the beautiful area and themselves more intensively." If you walk the left wing of the Butterfly Path counterclockwise, the turnoff to the wind chime is not signposted and you may walk straight along the path and miss the wonderful work of art.

One of the fascinating art objects on the left butterfly wing. You should take the time to sit on the bench and listen to the sounds that the wind creates in the work of art. Sometimes you might think a symphony is being played.
