Recommendation in advance a good 🥣, strong calves or 💪 for hand bikers, enough water and time. Good tires and don't forget to brake for the descent 😉. Many paths lead up, if you like and can, you can use the long staircase.

The Emscherblick slag heap event, or Tetrahedron for short, is a walkable viewing terrace in the shape of a three-sided pyramid on the Beckstrasse slag heap in the Batenbrock district of Bottrop. The steel structure with a side length of 60 m rests on four 9 m high concrete pillars and is located on the crest of the slag heap on Beckstrasse, which is around 120 m above sea level. The slag heap has a prominence of around 90 meters above the surrounding level. Like other slag heaps in the Ruhr area, the Tetrahedron is part of the Route of Industrial Heritage.

From the car park on Beckstrasse, you first go up to the Tetrahedron. Once you get there, you should enjoy the view of the Ruhr area from the viewing platforms. You can also see the Mottbruchhalde with the wind turbine as the next destination, as well as the Alpincenter with the highest beer garden in the Ruhr area. It is worth taking a short break there shortly before the end of the tour. For example, to have something to eat or a shandy.
