Today at noon it started snowing heavily, so it was clear that after work I had to go for a walk in the snow, which I love so much, especially when it crunches under my shoes ❄️.



So a walk through the city forest before it all melts tomorrow – simply wonderful 😇☺️🏂❄️

Snowfall this morning in the Ruhr area too, so I put on my boots and went for a walk in the woods, looking for more snow and to clear my head. Unfortunately, I didn't quite achieve either goal 🥺🤷‍♀️ but it was still lovely in the fresh, cool air ❄️

I took advantage of the sunny, cold weather one last time and went for a walk around the central cemetery. You had to be quite careful though, as the paths were very slippery due to the overnight rain and frost ❄️, but everything went well 😅

Today, on Boxing Day, I'm going to my mother-in-law's for coffee and dinner, but first I'm taking a stroll around Butendotf. Today the temperatures are lovely ☀️ and not as freezing cold 🥶 as yesterday – really beautiful and pleasant with no wind.

Today, our last day, was shrouded in thick fog. We started with a lovely walk around midday, then stopped briefly for lunch, and in the evening headed back to the historic harbor for the light show, which was very impressive. The weather actually looked quite good, so we headed out into the fresh air, wearing waterproof clothing just in case. We made the right call, but then the rain started on the way, but we didn't care – wet on the outside, but dry underneath. 👍👍🌧️😅😉

Despite the gloomy weather and drizzle, we still went out for a long walk around Carolinensiel and along the Harle River. Fresh air is always good ☺️😉

Today, instead of sunshine, it was gloomy and overcast, so we decided to drive to Aurich. Parking is great at the water park, and from there you can walk directly into the city center.

Today the weather was perfect again, so I hopped in the car and drove to Esens, also known as the "City of Bears." There wasn't much going on, except for the shoes, which I did find 😅. Afterwards, I drove back to Carolinensiel. Despite taking a break, Komoot seems to have counted the kilometers, but

After dinner, we took a leisurely stroll through Carolinensiel today, since the winter market is closed from Monday to Wednesday, only open from Thursday to Sunday. So we enjoyed our mulled wine at Willi's place by the Carolinensiel thermal baths – delicious and very friendly 😊😋
