Next to the pavilion there is a lovely seating area with a table under a linden tree; unfortunately the only place to rest at the castle ruins.
In the open pavilion there are information boards on the following topics:
- History of Frankenstein Castle, coat of arms and seal, castle sketch (rooms)
- Annual rings of an oak trunk, various types of wood, local poisonous and medicinal plants, a bird clock, mushrooms on wood

The Frankenstein Castle ruins impress with their historic charm – their ancient walls speak of times long past, and the fascinating panoramic view is a sight to behold. The view of the train traffic disappearing into or emerging from the tunnel below the castle is particularly charming.
