St. Sebaldus Church is an imposing church located right in the city center, not far from the main market square and the Frauenkirche/Schöner Brunnen (Church of Our Lady/Beautiful Fountain). At the foot of the church, heading towards the main market square, you'll find the Bratwursthäusle (sausage stand) on the right. It's a great place to eat, and a popular spot with locals. Objects found in the church, dating back to the Middle Ages, are displayed in glass cases, along with the remains of a World War II stick bomb.

If possible, don't miss the opportunity to visit the tower.

Built from 1215 as a pillar basilica in the late Romanesque style, later adapted to the Gothic style. The church was badly damaged in World War II, but was rebuilt and inaugurated in 1957.
The main attraction inside is the tomb of St. Sebaldus. The Cross of Nails from Coventry is also impressive.

The oldest parish church in Nuremberg is located below the Nuremberg Imperial Castle. The first documented mention of the consecration of a Stephen altar in the Church of St. Sebaldus is on July 20, 1255.
The start of construction in the first half of the 13th century cannot be dated precisely, nor is it clear when exactly the late Romanesque St. Sebaldus Church was completed. However, there is much to suggest that it was also completed in the first half of the 13th century.
