This is one of the best places to start a walk up Blencathra. You can follow the track up the valley and then turn left at the top following the trail up the classic scramble Sharp Edge to the summit. Then follow the easier main path back down.
Don't try this in your cleats and lycra but do stop and check out the start point for your next visit or carry some walking kit, lock your bike up and have an amazing day out on the hills!
