The former 'Paulshof' in Cologne Porz-Wahn became the property of the Eltz-Rübenach family, the lords of Wahn Castle, in 1835 and was used for agriculture from then on. After extensive conversion work and modernization, the "new" Eltzhof opened in October 2004 as perhaps the largest multifunctional courtyard complex in Cologne on the right bank of the Rhine. In and around the almost square courtyard, an event hall with a foyer, conference rooms, inner courtyard, beer garden and a brewery with various ancillary rooms have been created.
