The steep path to the Hinterrugg is definitely worth it because of the fantastic views both backwards in the direction of Säntis and the other Churfirsten. Arriving at the summit, you can look down on Lake Walen and across to the surrounding peaks of Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria.

The Churfirsten are - depending on how they are counted - six to thirteen mountains in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland, which together form a mountain range with a multiple interrupted First.
