From this lofty height, you can enjoy spectacular views: To the south, a steep drop down to Lake Walen and the Grisons and Glarus Alps; to the east, the Alvier massif, which appears high alpine from this vantage point. Beyond, you can see the Principality of Liechtenstein and Vorarlberg, Austria; to the north, the view extends to the Alpstein massif, the Toggenburg region, and down the Rhine Valley, far beyond Lake Constance. An impressive sea of fog often lies at the hikers' feet.
