Iltios

On Iltios there are:
- A mountain inn: iltios.ch
- Mountain station of the Unterwasser - Iltios funicular
- Valley station of the Iltios - Chäserrugg cable car

Starting point for many hikes, especially the sound path suitable for families. From here the cable car goes to the Chäserrugg.

A funicular goes up from Unterwasser to Iltios. And from Iltios a gondola goes up to Chäserrugg.
From Iltios there are numerous (also family-friendly) hiking opportunities. z. B. the Klangweg, hike to Chäserrugg, Hinterrugg, Gamserrug, Gamsalp or Voralpsee, you can start or end the Klangweg here or you can of course just hike down from here to the Iltiostalstation, Unterwasser or Alt St. Johannn. Or just come here to stop off and there is a playground for the children.

The Iltios mountain station is ideal for families with children. Very nice and large children's playground with a restaurant

As a starting point for various hikes in the Churfirsten perfect. Also the train tip-top. Scenic ... well, go anyway.

Around noon it's like a motorway rest stop here... you shouldn't shy away from the hustle and bustle. But if you start early, you will quickly find yourself back in quieter areas when hiking

The Iltios-Chäserrugg cable car, operated by Toggenburg Bergbahnen AG (until 2008 by Bergbahnen Unterwasser-Iltios Chäserrugg AG (BUIC AG)) and also known as Chäserruggbahn for short, is a mountain railway in Unterwasser in Toggenburg in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. It leads from Iltios to 1339 m above sea level. M. on the Chäserrugg (2262.4 m).
