The three-aisled hall church of St. Laurentius in Nürtingen is an imposing landmark high above the Neckar. The town church has been enthroned on the Schlossberg for more than 500 years. The current town church is the third church to be built on this site. The dimensions of the current church date from the end of the 15th century. The church tower with its distinctive "Welsh dome" towers over the roofs of the old town.
