In the spring of 1988, during development work in the "In den Seelen" building area in Nürtingen-Oberensingen, parts of a Roman villa were discovered. It was established around 100 AD. The information panels take you on a fascinating journey into the past at this impressive estate, whose courtyard wall once enclosed an area of 280 x 180 meters.

This makes it one of the largest Roman villas in Baden-Württemberg. The complex was destroyed by fire shortly after 223 AD. It is believed that the fire was caused by an Alemannic invasion.
