The rogue tower was once the city tower. It became about that
Built in 1400 on Horb's shield wall and stands Rogue Tower 1
at one of the highest points in the old town. The mighty tower protected the endangered west side of the city against the steeply rising Schütteberg. Due to its location and its opening towards the city, this building has a defensive tower from which the defense of the city walls was organized and commanded. As early as the 18th century, the use as a prison gave the thief or rogue tower its name, and the new Württemberg rulers set up four fixed criminal prisons and a prison guard apartment in the tower in 1822. The half-timbered roof structure with a hipped roof was demolished and replaced with a tent roof.

Given its size, there must have been a lot of villains!

The rogue tower and the city walls are very interesting. Unfortunately we didn't take the time. A pity
