It is hard to believe that this site was used by the SDAG Wismut as a uranium dump. But we don't have to worry. The dump was extensively renovated and prepared as an idyllic recreational area with paths around it. The heavy metals are safely stored underground and many measuring points on the site monitor the radiation levels. From the 244 meter high plateau we have a great view of the south of Dresden, the Elbe slopes near Pillnitz and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Continue on the main path. We do not leave the area at the passage to Kaitzer Straße, but continue parallel to the high-voltage lines to go through the gate next to a small bush.

Great viewpoint of Dresden. Not difficult to reach on well-developed paths.
