Kleinnaundorf Station (Windbergbahn)

You can stop here and enjoy the surroundings with cake and coffee and admire the model train.

The Kleinnaundorf stop was the most popular stop for tourists on the Freital-Birkigt to Possendorf route. It was built in 1907 and was the 2nd mountain station of the Windbergbahn. Today the remaining tracks end at a garage wall.

As the information board reveals, the use of the route changed from 1907 to passenger and excursion traffic and was completely discontinued in 1957 due to the high volume of goods traffic between Freital-Ost and Gittersee. Head east over the street Am Alten Bahnhof, also signposted as Guido-Brescius-Weg, to the former Boderitz-Cunnersdorf train station. Along the way we can see the former railway line on the left.
