The station is a relic of the former mining in the region. Boderitz and Cunnersdorf did not set up the Cunnersdorf (b Freital) stop (formerly Boderitz-Cunnersdorf) until 1908. The stop served mainly the rush hour traffic of the nearby Marienschacht

At the end of this section of the old railway embankment is the "Hopfenblüten" restaurant with its beer garden and beautiful old trees. Here you can sit wonderfully, especially on hot days, and eat one of the delicious dishes or ice cream at moderate prices.
Be sure to book a table in advance at the weekend, the "hop blossom" is well attended!
