The Godelheimer See is relatively large and has several smaller neighboring lakes/ponds. It's easy to hike or cycle between these lakes. There are campsites and a well-developed recreational and leisure area for young and old.
It always seems to be busy in the summer months. A trip here is always worth it.
The Weser cycle path leads directly past Lake Godelheim and the leisure facility and is embedded in the middle of the beautiful Weserbergland. Höxter can be reached in just a few minutes.
