    "The Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten is a luxury hotel on Neuen Jungfernstieg in Hamburg. As a grand hotel, the hotel is one of the best hotels in the world and has received several national and international awards. It is part of the alliance The Leading Hotels of the World.

    On February 24, 1897, Friedrich Haerlin bought the small, inconspicuous house with only eleven rooms and three bathrooms on the Binnenalster and converted it into the luxury hotel Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten. In 1905 an extension was opened as a grand hotel with 57 rooms. In 1911 further properties were acquired in the vicinity. The hotel has 140 living rooms and bedrooms and 50 bathrooms."

    It survived the First World War and the November Revolution, the Second World War and achieved world fame with Fritz Haerlin. His motto: "Service, Servil, Service". Quote: "Everything is like at home. When we invite guests, everything is nice and clean, the table is set, the food has been well and sufficiently cooked and we have dressed neatly and look forward to our guests. We don't do anything different in the hotel – only that everything is a bit bigger.” This still applies today.

    "The Haerlin restaurant in the hotel has been awarded by the Michelin Guide for many years, and has even had two Michelin stars since 2010 under Christoph Rüffer. In 2014 Rüffer was named "Chef of the Year" in the Gault Millau Guide and received 19 points. By the specialist magazine "FEINSCHMECKER" the Restaurant Haerlin was awarded "Restaurant of the Year" in 2014."
