The Ostend outdoor swimming pool is located in Tonndorf in north-east Hamburg. In 1933 the original clay pit was converted into an outdoor pool. The outdoor pool has a beach on the shore of the lake, two lawns for sunbathing and, according to the city of Hamburg, has excellent water quality.

The Sommerbad Ostende is located in the northeast of Hamburg in the district Wandsbek. The lake was built around 1935 from a former clay pit and is fed by groundwater. The summer bath is located in the northeastern part of the lake and is marked by buoys. It is a large area for non-swimmers separated. The bathroom has a 100 meters long sandy beach and lawns.
There is a bathing supervision present. For the visit of the bath entrance must be paid.
